DroidIn – release 1.7.0
Posted on September 18th, 2009 1 commentThis release introduces optimization for Updates, Profile and Contacts pages. Generally, when you revisit the updates page you see the locally cached version.
- Page is updated with the same frequency as background updates.
- You can always globally reset the cache from the menu option
- When you do a “long” click on the button at the top – individual page is refreshed
- When you post a status update – page is also refreshed
- “Inbox” page is not cached at this release
- “Lite” released at 1.7.1 and Google (totally useless) mobile ads are replaced with AdMob ads
Please report any bugs and issues

DroidIn becomes first app at Archos’ Android Market
Posted on August 14th, 2009 3 commentsFrench manufacturer of tablet devices Archos just opened alternative Android Market (evidently their upcoming Android tablet does not qualify to run Google version of it). We are proud to claim first spot (after “Hello World” no less).
If you are Android developer – here’s your chance to host your app on Appslib.com. Paid applications cannot yet be hosted but we’ve been hinted that that support is coming shortly. Here’s DroidIn running in Archos emulator (not the
actual device)

Twitter API is down
Posted on August 7th, 2009 No commentsIf you are experiencing difficulties to post to Twitter from DroidIn or even enable Twitter support, please be aware that according to Twitter Support Blog
Due to defensive measures we’ve taken against the ongoing denial-of-service attack, some Twitter clients are unable to communicate with our API, and many users are unable to tweet via SMS.
We are working as quickly as possible to restore our full service.

Here comes DroidIn with Inbox (v.1.5.0 is out)
Posted on August 4th, 2009 2 commentsYes, yes – that’s right! Mobile LinkedIn doesn’t have it, iPhone’s app doesn’t have it. But DroidIn does!
You asked and we listened (sorry it took some time) . Starting with 1.5.0 release both DroidIns have Inbox feature. The inbox has some limitations: Lite users will be able to check the list and open messages. Full version users will be able to reply but only to the original sender. They will also have message sent to their own mailbox.
The search now is available to all users, the UI was updated
Please report any bugs or just give us a feedback – it’s always nice to hear from you
